Hesiod and his Muse

In this painting from 1870 we see Hesiod with his muse. This is an interesting painting because it depicts Hesiod as a very young man. Certainly, he had not written any single verse of his poems yet, but he got his luck on that cliff because he somehow managed to attract a muse of poetry. And this painting reminds also quite a bit with the Fool of Tarot. Yes, there is even a dog in it. So, it tells us about Hesiod’s fresh start, new beginning. Go on Hesiod, write that damn song, we know you can do it.авно
